Description

Buckwheat flowers are very fragrant and are attractive to bees that use them to produce a special, strongly flavored, dark honey. It is often referred to as a cereal grain, however it is actually a fruit seed that is related to rhubarb and sorrel from the family known as Polygonaceae. It is neither related to wheat as it is not a grass.
